Network latency doesn't appear to be reporting

Hi,

I've had a few agents running for a few days now and i'm not getting any information under the latency component.  This is one of the main results I want to determine suitability for deployment.

The documentation skips over the latency settings.

I need to determine the latency from clients based over the internet and the hub that is hosted in my datacentre.

Any ideas?

HI Mark

Under Hub Administration | VDI Assessment Agents | VDI Assessment Agent Properties, there is a text box titled: Conduct remote network latency tests, where you can specify the IP addresses you want to test the latency. please put the IP of your hub in this box.

Hope this helps. the document mentions without giving any details, we will need to update it.

Sorry, forgot to mention in my previous post.

I have entered IP details in that field, both, internal, external or one of and have nothing from any of the machines internal or external to my network.

[Edit]

I've just checked today, appears to take a while for this to come through.  My internal machine does produce latency reports.  What ports are required to be opened for the latency test?  (please don't say ICMP)

Only really concerned about the latency for users outside the corporate LAN as it's for potential remote users.

Cheers

It does appear that I have to enable ICMP, can a feature add be included that determines latency over port 5501 to the hub, I just don't like enabling ICMP to the Internet.

Mark,

I have found that this tool doesn't give you accurate latency number without a bunch of configuration and opening ports.  I switched to a tool from Lakeside Software called SysTrack and it provides a much deeper level of data.  Just a thought.  This tool is free and you get what you pay for as they say
