manage snapshots of templates
hi,
i'm wondering one thing about the life cycle of snapshots...
When i create news VDi, i use one snapshot of a template.
When i made some modifications on template i have to make an other snapshot. And then Reprovisionning computers...
But if i don't need to keep intermediates snapshot, i can't remove them because of vmware linked clone....
Do you keep all your interlmediates snapshots or do you have some workarounds ?
Thanks..
A.

When I get to about 3 or 4 snapshots I clone it to a new VM template, then reprovision from the new template/snapshot. After all reprovisioned, I unlock the old template and delete it.
Another thing I do is Have a VM that I use just to setup and update, then clone it to another VM to be used for vWorkspace, this way you can have your template with snapshot on multiple LUN.
