is this a feature ?
Tried this ...
we have a Pool VDI Desktop group , ie first come , first serve access to a VDI desktop for our users accessing this group.
however
if the user connects a USB device to the running VDI session , then if they move to another local device ( eg access from PC , them move to a Mac )
normally you would expect the session running on the PC will disconnect and re-connect to appear on the Mac
that's what you would expect to happen
but actually it turns out the User get's another VDI desktop from the Pool Desktop Pool
so they are logged into 2 VDI's ( in a Pool Desktop group )
im assume this is because the orginial VDI has a USB device still connected ( which make's sense in the behaviour )
it's a feature ....yes :-)
so for example.
if we have Users who want to remote access their VDI from the office to home, they will not get their original VDI they where working on in the office..
it would be Good if "vWorkspace" could sent a message to the User - why they cant get their existing session ( USB connected )

Hello Pritpal,
After testing the scenario mentioned when connecting to aWindows 7 VDI from my Windows Workstation with a USB Device being shared; as soon as I connected from a Mac Connector the desktop session was successfully transferred to the Mac and all shared USB devices from Windows disconnected.
To help us get a better understanding of this issue, can you provide the following information?
1. What version of vWorkspace you are running?
2. What is the OS and Service Pack of the VDI
3. What is the OS and Service Pack of the Windows Workstation
4. What is the version of the Mac OS?
5. What USB Device is being shared to the VDISession?
Thanks,

hi...
ive tested it all again and yes USB connected devices disappear from the VDI as you roam from
one device to another , and you maintain the VDI you are allocated
i cant get it to do "the feature" again and ive tried on the same devices / Windows / Mac / ipad
...must be me !!!!!
cheers
