iPad managed application by IP

I am having some issues with my managed applications handing out a desktop by IP range with vWorkspace Connector for iPad.

I am able to connect to a farm fine within the application.

I am also able to hand out desktops based on username or group membership with no issues.

However I am not able to get any results by using the assign clients by ip address.

I have tried the following settings within an application group(my network address from iPad settings are 10.129.80.28):

010.129.080.020 - 010.129.080.030

010.129.080.028 - 010.129.080.028

10.129.80.20 - 10.129.80.30

10.129.80.28 - 10.129.80.28

With none of those ranges listing an application in vWorkspace Connector, again I can use my username to hand out an app or a group and the iPad sees it just fine.

Also I can do web access from my desktop using an IP ranges just fine.

Any tips on how to go about this?

vWorkspace is 7.2.303.461 (MR1)

Hello Taylor,

The problem you describe above has been previously identified and verified as a defect with the vWorkspace Connector for iPad 1.1.1.

The iPad Connector does not parse the devicename or IP address to the connection broker when making a connection .The connection broker is therefore not able to return the application icons for those applications published by devicename or IP address, since there is no match.

This problem has been logged as defect ID 155784 which will be evaluated for a future release.

Regards

David

Hi,

same problems with GNU/Linux clients.

Using the assign clients by client ip address or client device name doesn't work fine.

Thanks.
