Citrix Netscaler support with vWorkspace Web Access

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any experience installing and configuring vWorkspace with Citrix Netscalers to provide load balanced access to vWorkspace Web Access servers?

Hi Alex,

This configuration is certainly possible and I have implemented it with customers previously.  Unfortunately I do not know the Netscaler well enough at this time to advise on the configuration steps to achieve this. I will see what I can do in terms of creating a blog post. This could take me some time so I would suggest that a Netscaler consultant would be able to set this up very quickly for you allowing for credential pass through and load balancing of the vWorkspace Web Access portals.  In essence however its load balancing a Web site so I would assume there is lots of documentation around on how to:

  1. Setup the SSL VPN
  2. Pass credentials through to a web site aka the vWorkspace Web Portal (One way this can be done is using kerberos pass through from the netscaler)
  3. Load Balance a web site (vWorkspace Web Access).  This important thing here is to make sure that once a user has be directed to a Web Access Portal that their session is sticky.

Hope that helps.

Paul

Hi Paul,

This about external connectivity with SSL encryption using SSL VPN. We're looking to load balance between 6 Dell vWorkspace Web Access brokers in two datacenters.

Hi Alex,

Is this internal and/or external connectivity with SSL encryption?  Are you thinking about using the Global Server Load Balancing or SSL VPN, either could be used if you are licenced.  Are you looking to do any datacentre failover or is just between Web Access servers in one datacentre?

Thanks

Paul
