Hi Team,
Is it possible to use the VDI Assessment tool for assessing the machines that are under work group and also these machines does not have any dns server ip configured ? Kindly let us know what is the use of DNS Server ip while configuring the VDI tool?
Kind Regards,

There is no need for ANY domain membership for the agents to report back to the VDI Assessment appliance. The AD integration is really meant for folks who might want to track domain users as they logon/logoff machines. You should still get logon information but it will be focused on local users on each machine.
If you wanted to use the Group Policy deployment option the machines would need to be in a domain for the group policy to be processed to download the agent and run the installation.
The DNS Server ip provides the appliance to do DNS lookups for hosts and NTP servers you might add in the UI. It also allows for the appliance to communicate with Active Directory when hostnames are used in the UI for AD integration. (I believe reports also need/use DNS during processing.
