Atlantis

Hi Anybody

Does anyone have any information about Atlantis ILIO by atlantiscomputing.com to get more and faster vdi?
Is it possible that this is working with vworkspace? Official is only for Horizon View and XenDesktop

Thanks

Marc

Hi Marc,

I've spoken to Atlantis and the short answer to your question is yes it should work as Atlantis don’t have a dependency on the broker of any of the products you mentioned. It is the backend that is important.

The Hypervisors that both products support is VMWare and Hyper-V 2012 R2 so as long as your vWorkspace farm is using one of those backends, it should be fine.

How far are you along in your vWorkspace deployment? Is it already up and running and you're looking for performance gains or is this for a new project?

Thanks, Andrew.

Hi Marc,

I've reached out to Atlantis to see if they have tested this.

I'll let you know how we progress.

Thanks, Andrew

Hi Andrew

Thanks for your response.

We are working since 1.5 year with vworkspace with about 500 Cloud Desktops and is working fine.
Performance gain is every time a discussion. Office Apps working fine and fast with only a little problems.

There a few Applications who not working very well on VDI or Terminalserver.

We also testet Fusion drives, but we not see any performance difference to normal enterprise sata disks
