VPlex upgrade failure
Hi,
I have an unconfigured VPlex that was running 5.2. I decided to upgrade to the latest version of code, 5.4 SP1. Anything below 5.3 requires a management server re-image. I started performed the re-image and I'm not sure exactly how this happened but I didn't get a copy of the backup files. The server came back up and when I tried to upgrade the management server package it failed because it could not find a copy of the backup file. Is there a way to install the management package without a backup configuration file? Or is there a way to create a backup of the management server configuration?
Thanks

Oddly enough after a reboot the IP and hostname came back but now there are no engines/*/directors context on the system. I opened a case with Support.

Hi,
I just wanted to provide an update on this. The problem has been resolved. It turns out that I was missing the manufacturing_manifest.properties file. EMC support recreate it and my directors context came back.
