vplex support with HP Nimble storage
Hi All
We have vPlex(Local) with 5.5.2.02.00.03 version where EMC Unity/VNX arrays are connected as Backend array and ESXi hosts are connected to vplex.
Now we are planning to connect new array ,i.e Nimble storage of model CS7000 (CS-series).As I have verified DELL EMC VPLEX-GeoSynchrony v5.5 Simple Support Matrix, did not find HP Nimble array supported with vPlex.
Please can someone help me out that
Is HPE Nimble array can be connected to vPlex(5.5)as backend array ?
Does vplex 6.x supported with ESXi hosts 5.5 ?
Thanks in advance for your help/support.

I already gone through support matrix for DELL EMC VPLEX-GeoSynchrony 5.x/6.x where did not find HP Nimble supported with these vPlex versions .
However i looked into below link and wondered how Nimble storage being supported with vPlex when it's not supported with vplex
https://www.dell.com/community/VPLEX/VPLEX-with-Nimble-Storgae/td-p/7068132
And also can you some help me whether ESXi hosts 5.5 is supported/compatible with vPlex 6.x ?
Thanks

Hello rit1,
In the case of the customer in the link that you provided they used san copy to copy the data. On most storage products you can use Sancopy to migrate data.
Since you are adding a new Nimble storage to your vplex & not migrating your data from your nimble storage, sancopy will not work to push data to your nimble storage.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
