Windows 11 installer does not see nvme
As in the title, this is a new Dell Inspiron with Zorin Linux, and I purchased Windows 11 Pro ($200) from Dell to replace the Linux Operating System, but the bootable Windows 11 Pro installer does not see the nvme drive at all.
I keep seeing posts about drivers, but can't find drivers for the SK Hynix nvme that came with the machine.
Please help.

@ejn63 Yeah I wish I could do that, but the instructions are for computers that already have Windows installed. As mentioned in my post the Dell I have (Inspiron 16 Plus 7640) had Zorin installed on it; can’t extract or run Windows software on it (except a few games).

In short, I am trying to restore a Dell laptop to Windows. I purchased a Windows 11 key from Dell, downloaded the iso, created the bootable media, and found that it boots but will not install, will not even detect the OEM nvme.

You can also look below for the driver you'll need without having to extract the .exe.

@ejn63 Thanks for your efforts. Once again we’re seeing Windows only methods, and Windows is not on this laptop; I am trying to restore it to Windows and purchased a Windows 11 Pro iso and the installer does not see the OEM nvme drive.
I need to be able to install driver for the OEM SK Hynix nvme. The installer boots, but then the area that should list the installation target is empty and a note there says to install drivers. Please tell me how to get drivers moved to the USB using a Linux (Zorin, an Ubuntu derivative) operating system. I have no access to Windows.

Download the vmd .zip file from the link, and extract it to a directory on your Windows install flash drive. When indicated, pause and load the driver. You will need to write the ISO file (NOT just copy it) over to a blank flash drive using a Linux ISO writer.
