Weird artifacts around the fonts.

Good day,
My laptop occasionally displays strange artifacts on the screen without any concrete reason, as shown in the attached photo. I have already reinstalled the OS and installed the latest drivers and BIOS/UEFI, but it hasn't helped. What could be causing these strange artifacts – the motherboard, the cable, or the LCD screen?

Start with a screen diagnostic -- hold the D key through powerup. Does the same fault show on the test screens?
Yes: the screen is the cause.
No: something else -- could be the cable, or could be a failing GPU that's the cause. It could also be a driver issue with Windows.
