Vostro 7590 Win 10 Microphone with adapter plugged in not detected
I have updated the latest driver (released 8/10/2020) have gone into the Sound Settings Manage Sound Devices to even enable an input device other than the Microsoft Array which is the mic next to the the built-in webcam and have "Stereo Mix (Realtek(R) Audio)" selected as my input. Test microphone while in Device Properties gives a maximum input of 0%. I have even tried installing the MaxxAudioPro app. When in it, this is saying "Recording device is not available"
Where do I have to go to allow my headset (older set with both Headphone and Mic jacks that works great on my desktop under Windows 10) plugged into an adapter to convert it to the 4 part 3.5mm jack to be acknowledged as connected and usable. Otherwise I'm stuck having to be close to my laptop screen so the built in Mic works enough to be on the many web meetings I am in.

Got it working
Installed and opened the Waves maxx pro application.
I clicked on the playback device button (the speaker icon).
Click Advanced and check the box for pop up when device is connected.
Then connected the headset with adapter and in the popup said Headset then it is working.

In the Settings Sound for Output my only option is Speakers/Headphones (Realtek(r) Audio)
For the Input I have 2 options: Stereo Mix (Realtek(R) Audio) and Microphone Array (Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST))
There is no choice to select headset and when I select the Stereo Mix for input I never get any sound detected.

Vostro 15 5510 has a problem with Intel SST. In windows sound panel it looks like digital interface is taking as analog audio source.
