Vostro 3530
Hi and excuse my poor english.
I bought one week ago a Dell Vostro 3530 with i7-1355U and 8GB RAM. I already ordered a dual channel kit of RAM (I have 2 slots for them) to upgrade it.
The question is: will the graphics change from Intel UHD in Iris XE?... that's because I read some opinions that Intel Iris XE needs dual channel RAM to reveal itself. i7-1355U is Iris XE eligible, according Intel website.
PS: this is my first Dell. I am a former Lenovo user, but I gave up buying Lenovo because the customer support became very bad and for me this is an eliminatory condition. I hope I didn't make a mistake choosing Dell. :)

The system should run in Iris XE mode with dual channel memory enabled, yes.

Well I upgraded my RAM with a dual channel kit 2x8 GB and I confirm that Intel Iris XE works.
Now, I don't understand why the memory doesn't work at 3200 MHz. I know, in specifications they say the memory wprks at only 2666 MHz. But why? The processor supports 3200 MHz....

What does dual channel ram mean? What’s the difference with single channel? So if I put 2 ram memory (for instance 8GB+16GB) the Intel UHD that I have will become Intel Iris? Will this show somewhere to check it?
Thanks

Dual channel memory runs at twice the bandwidth of single channel -- for systems with integrated video, remember the system RAM is your video RAM.
I believe you'll find for Iris, you must have a matched pair of modules. 8+16 will be dual channel for 16 G but the other 8 G will be single channel.
