Vostro 3530 not opening pdf in edge or chrome
Hi All,
I have a Vostro 3530
- Windows 11 Pro
- 13th Generation Intel Core i5-1335U (12 MB cache, 10 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.60 GHz)
15.6 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 120Hz 250 nits WVA Anti- Glare LED Backlit Narrow Border
Display - 1x8GB, DDR4, 3200MHz 1 SR
- Intel(R) UHD Graphics
New out of the box. I have tried all the ideas about clearing the cache in edge and chrome but I still cannot get either to open pdf files from the web or local.
Any ideas on where to go next?

There's setting for this both in Chrome/Firefox and in Windows. In browser settings, one of them will have options for what to do with different file types. In the browser, make sure PDF is set to open in browser and not Windows. If that doesn't work, in Windows settings under one of the App or Default App settings there's the same thing with default apps for different extensions, make sure that is set to your browser. Also, make sure Edge isn't the default browser if you're using Chrome.
