Vostro 3500 - Win10 - can't adjust screen brightness

Hi there;

I've been using the i7 640m integrated GPU, then decided to give a try on the dedicated GeForce 310M; Installed the drivers provided by Dell's support section, rebooted and now I can't adjust screen brightness anymore - either by FN + arrow up/down, or by the slider on notifications (it is now disabled).

Some YouTube tutorials offering solution for the issue recommended reinstalling monitor drivers on the device manager, but it didn't work in my case.
