Vostro 3500, motherboard replacement, now called Inspiron 3501
Vostro 3500
2 days ago I had my 5th motherboard replacement in my Dell Vostro 15 3500 laptop. Finally, it seems it works properly BUT my Vostro 3500 turned into Inspiron 3501. It can be seen in BIOS, in Dell SupportAssist and in other hardware info software. Is there any way to modify this? The technician suggested a motherboard replacement again, but I don't prefer this option, when my laptop finally works. As far as I know both Vostro 3500 and Inspiron 3501 were assembled with DELL NX5H3 motherboard, so it fits only the "computer brand name" tag doesn’t match.

Correct, Dell motherboard part number NX5H3 shows applicable to the Vostro 3400, Vostro 3500, and the Inspiron 3501.
Our internal tool shows the private Service Tag as a Vostro 3500.
The external site shows the private Service Tag as a Vostro 3500.
I do not know how to get the name corrected in the software. Hopefully a user can offer some insight.
