Vostro 3500 Audio
Vostro 3500
After a Windows update, my sound card all of a sudden was not detected or when it was detected, no sound came from either the speakers or the headphones. However when doing a loopback recording, I do get sound when sending the recording to my phone. I have updated drivers numerous times, it will work for a day, then when restarting the laptop the drivers will go missing. Also the audio works for a while, but then deteriorate to this horrible distortion over both the speakers and the headphones. Tested my headphones on my phone and have no issue there. I have also done the Bios update as well as the latest Cirrus audio drivers, but find myself having to reinstall it daily and not getting proper audio.

Same issue here. Sometimes working, sometimes not, durring Windows 11.
I tried everything: Driver update, windows update, and many sollutions, wich i found in Dell forums.
The Laptop contain a Cirrus Logic cs8409 audio chip. I read that this error appears for many people with this audio chip. I think, this is a known issue.

@SysGabo being a known error, one would think Dell would do something about it, but guess they already got their money from us and now we are on our own. Sad really as I opted for Dell because it is the best machine for work. Now I cant even do Teams Meetings.
