Vostro 3500: Audio and sound system failure
My laptop has experienced audio failure and I have tried resolving it by troubleshooting, running bios tests and even further more changing OS but yet I haven't encountered any issues but again the laptop itself is new, I have done several hardware checks but no issues encountered similarly. What might be the problem behind these?

Contact Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support Monday through Friday. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them so that they can verify the ownership and warranty status. This will also generate a unique Technical Support case for your unique Service Tag. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offerings.
We'll need some more details for recommendations to be provided. What audio issues are you looking at? Distorted audio, no audio, internal or external? You haven't been able to replicate your issue either?

This is a 6-year old model -- so it may be new to you, but it isn't a new system. It likely was a driver problem, but if it is solved, it should remain so.

Well I will suggest you to update your audio driver to it's latest version because to me it's look like driver issue.
