Vostro 15 3510 wont recognize gaming monitor refresh rate

hey guys, i got a vostro 15 3510 and i got a aoc 165 hz monitor thats connected via a hdmi 2.0 and a 1.4 cable, the highest refresh rate that shows up in the settings is 60, i reinstalled both integrated and my nvidia gpu, no luck, ive switched cables, no luck, tried a bunch of different solutions ive found on the internet, no luck please help, add me on discord if u know how to help me please #anlekovic

guys i connected a 165hz monitor to my laptop via a hdmi 2.0 cable, it wont show higher refresh rate than 60, ive tried reinstalling nvidia drivers, changing nvidia settings, changing cables etc, it is a dell vostro 15 laptop pls help

See the specifications for that system linked below.  Max is FHD 1920X1080, 60Hz.

i bought this usb c to hdmi adapter, the adapter has a usb 3.0 port a hdmi port but it wont read the hdmi cable although the 3.0 port on it works perfectly fine, any solutions?

I don't think you'll find the USB-C port on this system supports video at all, and while you can use a displaylink adapter to enable video support, you are not going to be driving a high-refresh monitor over displaylink either.

And even if you could find a solution to allow a high refresh output, you'll just swamp the video capability of what is a decidedly basic, entry-level notebook that's just not designed to do the job you want from it.

why does it say that 144 hz is supported then? i am looking for the solution i dont care about anything tbf
