Undervolting My CPU
Hi, there I have a dell Vostro 3480 with a i5 8265U and after being really fed up from the thermal throttling of my laptop I decided to Undervolt my CPU using Throttle Stop and...lets say It was not very effective
these results were calculated on same values for CPU Core and CPU Cache and Intel GPU, iGPU Unslice and System Agent have not been undervolted.....
I first tried on -110 mv = desired results but crashing after 10 - 15 min
decreased to -95 = same issue
then i went down till -67 = no crashes but still throttling
-75 same - 85 same
-90 went for a bit longer for like 30 min but crashed after that
So can anyone tell me the best -mv for best performance and no crashes here are the detailed specs
Processor - Intel i5 8th Generation or i5 8265U CPU
RAM - 8gb DDR4 single slot 2400 MHz
DISK - HDD no SSD
2 GPU's - integrated intel and an AMD RADEON 520 - 2gb dedicated Video Memory

What temperatures are you seeing, and what's running when the throttling begins?
Bear in mind this is a low-cost business notebook -- it's not designed for anything that's CPU or graphics-intensive (least of all, gaming of any sort)?
It's also old enough that if it hasn't had a thorough internal cleaning and replacement of the thermal pads/compound inside, that's overdue and will do more for temperatures than undervolting the CPU will.
