Screen hinge got stuck, broke plastic lid.
There's a problem with my Vostro 3520 laptop.
When trying to open the laptop lid, it made a cracking sound and the hinges broke off from the back of the screen shell. This broke multiple parts of the screen shell, like the front shell near the hinge and the hinge covers. Every damage appears to be around the hinges.
The LCD panel itself seems intact and the laptop seems functional. The hinges are stuck in a closed position and we weren't able to get them to open at all. The lid can't be fully opened as we don't want to risk making more damage or breaking the LCD.
The laptop wasn't dropped and no other stuff was done to it that could've caused this.
There's still warranty for the device. What should we do?

Hi everyone,
If you're experiencing issues with the hinges on your Dell system, please contact Dell support, even if your system is out of warranty. While we cannot guarantee that any actions will be taken, a tech support agent will review your system's condition and make a decision accordingly.
Please reach out to our tech support by clicking the "Get Help Now" chat button located at the bottom right corner of this page. Our agents will determine if your case qualifies for an extended warranty.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
