Realtek Mic (headset mic) not being detected on windows 11

I have the realtek driver installed which is listed on the dell support page and i made sure that i used my laptop's service tag. But the jack mic doesn't work when i plug in the headset. Also another issue is i have to plug the headset before turning on the laptop for the headset audio to be detected. When i plug out and then plug in the headset in the jack, the laptop doesn't detect the headset at all. I tried the wave pro method. The wave pop up doesn't work as well when i plug in a device. I tried multiple headsets. None of the mics are detected. Please help it's driving me crazy. Thanks in advance
