New Laptop charger not working
Hey everyone. I have a Dell Vostro 15 5558 laptop and I recently bought a new charger for it. The one it came with is a 65w 19.5V 3.34A small pin charger. The new one is 130w 19.5V 6.7A small pin charger. I bought the new one because I have no battery in the laptop and thought the laptop could use the extra power because I sometimes play games on it. Problem is, the laptop doesnt turn on at all when I plug in the new charger, no leds light up either. When I plug in the old charger everything works fine though… If anyone knows what might cause this, please help me out. If you need more information let me know.

The new adapter is defective. Have the seller replace it.

@ejn63 I’m taking is back to the shop today to hopefully replace it, good thing its still under warranty

Go for replacement it is the best solution for you.
