my vostro 5620 has no audio unless zoom and the audio settings window is open.

I have audio when I am using zoom for meetings. However, when I close zoom. I have no audio at all. I only recently discovered that I get audio back when I open zoom, open settings, and open audio. If I keep window open, audio is retained. Once I close this window or change to another setting option window my audio will cease again.
