My DELL vostro 1500 screen is very dark
my dell vostro 1500 screen is dark and i can only see the display with a flashlight, i think the display inverter board is fried, can someone help me find a replacement board.

You'd need to remove the part to source a replacement -- and that's assuming it's the faulty part (it could easily be the system board that's the issue).
Since the 2007 model system has a value of about $30-50 complete and working, you're probably better off replacing the entire system with a newer, used one -- this one isn't going to be worth a lot in repair parts or time due to its obsolescence.
