"Minimum Processor State" keeps reverting to 5%.
Hi to all!
I have a Vostro 3520 laptop with Windows 10 installed. The only thing I did to this machine is that I have upgraded the RAM, from 8 Gigs to 32.
Anyway, it came preinstalled with Windows 11 and I couldn't stop noticing that the minimum processor state, in the Energy Settings, was at 5%. So I adjusted it to 100%. A few moments later I came back to that option to check and the setting was reverted back to 5%! I tried everything to try to fix it, with no success.
I later downgraded it to Windows 10, which improved the machine performance a lot (I work with music production and audio editing). The thing is, I thought that with Windows 10, this problem would have been solved, which was not the case, since the exact same thing happen. I open Energy Settings, apply 100% to the minimum processor state option, and moments later, or when I reboot the laptop, the setting is back to 5%.
Is there anyway to keep this from happening?! Am I doing something wrong, or even forgetting to do something? Please, folks, enlighten me.
