Many problems! Any help? I am so disapointed. Vostro 15 3530
I do not know what to start with... I am 40+ user and I have been using many different laptops in my life, included Dell. I still use 4 laptops different producers, included 15yo laptop with 8GB RAM.
I had always good opinion on Dell... I had had it until I bought my new Vostro 2 months ago. I am SOOO disappointed now.
Before I describe my problems, PLEASE do not suggest me to do things I have already done and do not tell me that the problem is in a way I use, hold, touch etc my devices. I use this laptop in the same way as others to do the same things in the same way and there are no the same problems, included the old laptop with 8GB RAM. So if laptop with 8GB RAM works with no problem while for example browsing 30 tabs opened and using Firefox, why the new 'the Dell' with 34GB RAM cannot do it???
And one more request: if a user like me say that for example one of two usb ports does not works, DO NOT give him/me an advise to use another port working as a solution. Both ports must work and should work. And do not suggest to set laptop on default producer settings - nobody use computers like this, everybody use his own settings he likes and the laptop should work properly. And please, do not tell me to search google to get solutions becouse I have been trying to solve it and to find the solutions since I bought this vostro.
The problems exist on Win11 and Linux. I updated Win11 and drivers of course, and BIOS.
My vostro: IntelCore i5, 34GB RAM, SSD, Win11/Linux.
1. Noise!
This is known problem in the internet opinions but I did not find any solutions. It is connected with CPU high usage ''jumps'', warming etc. This is the loudest laptop I have ever had. The fan works almost all the time - no matter if I use many operations or just read mail or do nothing at all. It is unbearable. I can hear my laptop cooling all the time. Sometimes, just like that, the fan works as if it had to fly like jet. I use laptop everyday, also evening and it is silence surrounding me so this laptop make me mad, tire and crazy. NO, it is not normal or standard working of fan in any laptop. I set to test all options, included 'quiet' set in BIOS. It happens in cool room, laptop is clean, no dust etc... so please... I turned off/uninstalled unneeded programs, services etc.
So, any ideas?
2. The divices have problems with working, connecting etc. If connected...sudenlu the unconnect just like that. Another day cannot connect. Another day I can see it is connected but it does not work.
I use to get two notifications:
- USB Device Not Recognized
- the last USB device you connected yo this computer malfunctioned
Drivers updated, divices work corectly with other laptops.
Any ideas?
I have not use online support with dell yet. This will be the last step if here dell or users do not help me. I read that dell seldom helps. I read that dell changes setting of users' laptops to default, deletes files etc... I read many bad opinions. I hope dell will help me here. I start to think of returning this laptop to seller and get my money back and never buy dell.
Yes, I am very disappointed.

Your answer is in your last line -- if you have return privileges, take them. You'll never be happy with the system.
