I NEED YOUR ADVISE on Upgrading my 2016 VOSTRO

Hi Everyone good day... I have a dell Vostro I am not sure what year this is But here are its specs as of the moment...

8GB RAM

256 SSD

Win 10

1. How far will i be able to increase these two to improve performance of the laptop.

2. Is there a way to go up to 16GB Ram?

3. Can it Carry 1TB SSD and Will it function using SSD and HDD?

4. Is it compatible (in terms of performance) to Windows 11?

I use it for

1. Canva

2. Photoshop (Sometimes)

3. Publisher (slow and lags)

I hope i get some answers I already asked in their messenger and when the cheeky little ... found its already OOW well it stopped replying...

2. Most likely, but you'll need to provide the system model number (Vostro 5558, etc.) for a definitive answer.  Adding RAM won't boost speed that much.

3.  Most likely, 2.5" SATA for a model from that period.  Again -- definitive answer requires the model number.

4.  No.  The earliest CPUs that are meet the requirements of Windows 11 are from 2018.

For those applications, any Vostro system is going to be marginal at best.  You may want to investigate a more capable system with a better GPU and support for an NVMe SSD.

Thanks?!

Come on dude, flip your notebook over and look up the service tag, than go to the dell website and click on the support tab. Type in the service tag you found and what ever description shows up there come back and let us know. I for one would very much like to find out what kind of upgrades and tweaks can be done on your rig.

All the best.

Actually i found out its from POLAND... It already runs on 16GB ram(max), 256GB m.2 SSD and I can add another 1TB SSD SATA although i do not know if that is the max SSD I can place... Amazingly the battery is quite hard to find here though...

So that's it... Its Vostro 15... It's actually in the manual online...
