I NEED to find a replacement "power-adapter port" (as Dell calls it) for my Vostro 15 7510. Where do I find one???
Vostro 15 7510
I CANNOT find any Dell part numbers nor the part I need anywhere on Dell's site, even using google to search Dell. I am out of my warranty date so it wants me to PAY assess it. I know specifically what I need. I just don't know the Dell part number. I found two results that CLAIM to be compatible on other sites, one of them on ebay and the other on Amazon. The problem I have is that I don't know the Dell part number. It LOOKS like it might be right but I know looks can be deceiving. My dogs were jumping around and somehow slightly bent/displaced the port inside. I can get it to charge but I have to finagle the cord to keep it charging. I bought a replacement power adapter, thinking THAT was the problem initially, but it is not. I'm losing patience with having to have the laptop sit in a VERY specific position.
I would appreciate ANY help I can get. I just do NOT understand why DELL makes it so HARD to find the part numbers AND the parts. I don't know if they think we'll just give up and buy a new laptop? NOT happening!

The system is relatively new, so you will need to contact Dell directly for the part. If you're in the US, call 1-800-372-3355
Outside the US, call your local Dell office and ask for spare parts.

@ejn63 Thanks for your reply.
I tried that but to even get the part number, they wanted $39 (or was it $59). I KNEW
what I needed. That's what irks me. I found the part from another site and it was EXACTLY the same as the one I needed. I checked the numbers on it before I replaced it. I've been rather lucky with my Dell computers in the past. Dell are the only laptops I've used for 20 years or so, and the only thing I've done to them is upgrade the memory, and that was easy to do. I've never had a part go bad. I hope my next laptop has the USB-C type of charger.

Be careful what you wish for -- at least the older connector can be inexpensively replaced. USB-C ports are almost universally soldered to the system board, requiring either an expensive repair or replacement of the entire board when they fail.
