Feature Request: BIOS Update for Vostro 5481 to Improve Windows 11 Stability
Dear Dell Support Team,
I am writing to represent a group of Dell Vostro 5481 users. We have noticed that the latest BIOS version available is 2.18.0 (dated Nov 2022).
Recently, many users have experienced persistent 'Black Screen' issues and power management instabilities when upgrading to the latest builds of Windows 11 (23H2/24H2).
We kindly request Dell to consider releasing a maintenance BIOS update for the Vostro 5481/5581 series to improve compatibility with the latest Windows 11 power states and fix boot-time black screen issues.

The Vostro 5481 is End of Life so it will likely no longer receive anymore BIOS updates. Updates for EoL models normally only address security vulnerabilities. Since the last update was from 2022, again this model will be unlikely to see any new updates. Additionally, the 5481 has not been tested by Dell to run on Windows versions 22H2 or newer. Instability with later versions of Windows would come down to limitations of the hardware and would only be addressed by Microsoft via Windows Update.
