Dell Vostro Fingerprint sensor not sensing finger

I am using dell vostro laptop and my fingerprint sensor is not sensing the finger . Even have placed my finger on the sensor but not detecting I have reinstalled the drivers but still the same thing. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the power button. The power button is working but not the fingerprint. I tried reinstalling windows but still did not worked.
