DELL Vostro 3530 i7 13gen - no 2K on DELL P2723D monitor via HDMI
Vostro 15 3530
Hello, I use DELL Vostro 3530 (i7 13gen, Inter iRIS Xe), I connected the DELL P2723D monitor via HDMI and... I can only display in 1920x1080 resolution. The cable supports 4k - when connected to another device, there is 2k on the monitor. What's wrong? I downloaded the latest Intel driver. Is it possible that this laptop will not support 2k on an external monitor? Does anyone know anything? Tried? Used? And I will add that Windows 11 Pro 24H2.

Most of the budget 3000 series models support only FHD external resolution, which is the case for this model.

I was really disappointed with Dell, I wouldn't have expected that something like that could be done in modern computers

Entry level computers have features to match.

today the cheapest Chinese foldables have 4K on the HDMI output, a total disaster. And can you display video via USB-C on this model?

On the model with an aluminum chassis, yes. On the entry one with the plastic chassis, no.
