Dell vostro 15 3510 wont read usb c to hdmi adapter, help
i bought an usb c to hdmi adapter so i can connect an external monitor that has 144 hz because my system only supports 60hz with hdmi to hdmi cable, but on the dp c port it supports up to 144 hz with a cable, however when i connect the adapter it wont read the hdmi cable, the adapter also has a 3.0 port which works perfectly fine, help

According to your system specifications, USB type C port is for data only.

@Chino de Oro NOTE: The types of USB ports may vary on systems configured with discrete graphics. i have discrete graphics and the c port is looked as an type c dp

It's the matter of how the USB port was wired. If it does not offer the DisplayPort Alt mode, you can not connect it using a pass through cable. However, you can use a DisplayLink adapter for additional external monitor(s).
