Can Dell Vostro2520 internal HDD replacement with SSD
Hi
I Have Dell Vostro 2520 Ubuntu laptop purchased in 2014. This is working fine till last few weeks. Recently I am facing issues while booting, the Ubuntu desktop is not showing up and I could see some hard disk related errors like DRDY ERR. I think these are hardware related errors and I am planning to replace HDD with SSD. Should I replace with a SSD based on Form Factor 2.5 Inches, SATA Connectivity, HD interface as SATA only as I think these are coming up with speed up to 600 MB/S (R/W) in general. But there are few brands with same form factor and connectivity and having different shape (long but not box shape) and having higher R/W speeds upto 3500 MB/S but has HD interface as PCI Express x4. Not sure whether this type of SSD is suitable with Vostro 2520. Please suggest
Thanks

Your 2520 is only compatible with the 2.5" SATA SSD. You do not have an M.2 slot on the MB.
