Bluetooth on Vostro2510?

Trying to give a second life to a Vostro2510 laptop under windows 10. Is Bluetooth standard on this model? If it is, it is not on my WLAN card which is WiFi dual band only 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz. Probably mounted on the mainboard? Can someone clarify availability of Bluetooth for me?

My first post on this forum!

Use the laptop's service tag number to determine the original configuration of the laptop when it left the factory.

We can't do that for you.

I tried the service tag,

The original configuration:  is empty, it says to see below but there is nothing shown.

The current configuration:   is shown but my Intel WLAN 4965AGN MMI card does not appear although my connection to wifi is working fine in both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

That original card may have been changed by previous owners. I checked the specifications of the present WLAN card and it does not support Bluetooth.

I will look at alternate WLAN card  or USB Blootooth options unless driver issues exist.

If you do not see an error in Device Manager indicating that a driver is not installed, then you probably do not have Bluetooth.

Welcome to the Dell Community  @JJinQC

Your model Vostro takes the Truemobile 350 Bluetooth Wireless 2.0 Internal Module:

Looking at your manual it is berried in the laptop!!!

https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_vostro_notebook/vostro-2510_service%20manual_en-us.pdf

I see no WiFi combo card for your laptop so USB Bluetooth could be the way to go.

You should be able to achieve at least 4.0 with a USB dongle.

Best regards,

U2

thanks for the information. I just ordered the Truemobile 350 wireless card. Expecting a few weeks delivery. I will post the results once I receive the card.

I will shop for a WIFI Dual Band USB Dongle. If all goes well I should end up with :

A) An internal Bluetooth card

B) A USB Dongle providing Dual Band WIFI 2.4Gbs and 5 Gbs

Update: Flenco 600Mbs WIFI Dongle Mini Dual Band 2.4Ghz/5Ghz USB Wireless received and installed today Mar 6 2020. Works very well.

Network speed test:

2.4Ghz   Upload 34.3Mbs  Download 46.0 Mbs

5Ghz       Upload 34.5Mbs  Download 82.5Mps
