BIOS question.

I'm struggling to externally flash the main BIOS chip on a Vostro 3560 using the (Black) CH341a mini-Programmer. The chip is EN25Q32B. I've used 3 versions of asProgrammer with no success. It appears the chip will not allow reading from or writing to it.

Is it more that it is protected internally or because the Eon chip does not like the over-voltage supplied by the CH341a (Black) and thus blocks any 'conversation' with the mini-programmer ? The Neo-programmer programmer mentions Eon chips are especially vulnerable (even though the software knows to throttle it down to 3.3).

If the second is more likely then the purchase of a newer version of the CH341a might get the job done. It's worth it to me.
