Battery genuine or not

I wanted to verify that the battery I have purchased is genuine or not and is covered under warranty by Dell.

There is no way for us to know. Counterfeit batteries can look like genuine batteries. Only your vendor knows for certain.

If it is genuine, it was manufactured in January, 2022.

You can test the replacement battery:
Open an Administrator CMD prompt (CMD, run as Administrator).
Paste this command, and then press Enter:
powercfg /batteryreport

You can also run Dell Diagnostics:
Immediately after pressing the power button to turn on the laptop (or after clicking the Reboot command), press and hold (or repeatedly press) F12 to enter the One Time Boot Menu, select Diagnostics and press Enter. The Dell Diagnostics will test major hardware components. Choose to run the extended tests.

No, neither of those tests will show manufacturing date. I have already told you that date, if the battery is genuine.

The purpose of those tests is to see if the battery is working properly and what capacity it has.

Hi filbert , I have tried the batteryreport cmd command and the html file that created doesnt show anywhere when was the battery manufactured.

In extended test where will it show the manufacturing date as it will take around 3 hours to complete which will make the laptop unusable for that time and I have work to do .

Can you please be more specific

Thank you

So I ran the extended test and the manufacturing date is January 2022 I guess.

Does it verify that my battery is original?
