Add second drive to Vostro 15-5590 laptop?

My Dell Vostro 15-5590 laptop came with a 256MB SSD. Is it possible for me to add a 2nd SSD? If not, can I add a 2.5" hard drive?

My existing drive is the Windows drive, so I'm not sure that I could just swap it out for a 512 MB or 1 TB SSD since my laptop didn't come with a Windows installation disk, nor does it have a CD-ROM drive. If I were swap out the 256 MB drive for a larger drive of the same type, would I be able to make a system backup on a USB drive and copy it to the
