Vostro360 inspiron 2320 Mini card3 socket on the motherboard
I have one of these large touch screen, all in one PC's. It currently has a standard mechanical HDD installed which I really want to replace with and SSD as soon as possible. I have already done CPU & memory upgrades, O/S upgrades and replaced heatsink transfer paste and it runs noticably cooler now. The old paste was dry and useless the new high end pastes are really good, I can recommend this if you are technical. The problem I am trying to solve now is what can I use the Mini Card 3 socket for on the motherboard. This looks suspiciously like and M-Sata socket. I have been searching extensively for anything regarding this but so far everything I have on my 2320 Vostro is technically superficial at best. I would love to be able to use the mini card 3 socket for an M-Sata SSD drive. This would really be ideal for such a large touchscreen all in one as it is going to be repurposed to home automation running HASS. This machine will be perfectly re purposed to this application.
Stay covid safe everyone, Regards Rodoz
