Hello,

When new drivers for Win11 24H2 will be available for the Vostro 3020 and 3030?

I only got a new update for the Intel graphics that is compatible with Win11 24H2

also will be any BIOS with performance improvements and or Win11 24H2 compatibility?

So far, Dell only provides drivers by Windows editions, Windows 7, 8, 10, 11.

I don't see them released for build versions within the edition.  Some hardware might get new drivers and some still use previously released drivers.  You will have to check Dell support site for any releases or running Windows updates periodically.

Intel has released whitepaper notes that the instruction for windows 11 isnt really catered until 12th Gen intel CPU’s and above generations.

While windows 11 will run on any efficiency core Intel processor predating 6th gen icore. Both windows and Intel concur that windows 11 and its instructions arent “optimized until 12th gen, but that the O.S will run more efficient than windows 10 after intel 8th gen processors.

If you arent seeing a win 11 update 24H2 its because the Kernel that supplies the micro code for Intel ME and the CMoS/Bios of your system wont support that update.

I have a Dell Vostro 5880 actually downgraded to windows 10 so I could ise older programs and my system only does security updates for 22H2

Yup had more time to do a deeper dive. The vostro 3020 and the 3030 are 13th gen intel. So 13th and 14th gen intel have an industry wide oxidative decay problem. What Dell and other manufacturers are making an attempt to do is to protect the system during warranty time period. Dell has a post in teh forums regarding this issue, and its been heavily investigated by gamers nexus for all intel cpu's.  You probably wont see alot of additional driver updates or releases. If you do see a "firmware" update beware of any updates, as they are usually underclocked and throttle back (underperforming) revisions to prevent the CPU form its oxidative decay. Some times adding drivers to the OS so hardware can function more efficiently can have its drawbacks. Meaning that it can offset intel speed stepping, or make the instructions for the CPU less efficient to process or posing more issues for the oxidative decay of teh processor.
