Vostro 5090 DT, can I add second Storage drive

I just received a Vostro DT 5090 BTX the base configuration with the i5 chip.

when I look at the specification I see this for hard drive  configuration

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/04/vostro-5090-desktop/vostro_5090_setup_specs/storage?guid=guid-498b5d2f-b811-4d98-b997-c1c759aeba5f&lang=en-us

I would like to add a second storage drive preferably a 2.5" SSD.  When I open the case I see a SATA cable dangling by both the 2.5" drive bay and the 3.5" drive bay.  The Service manual shows how to add both types of drives

My Question: Can I add a 2.5" SSD with a SATA interface or only a 3.5" drive?

You can go either way as I assume you are thinking about a 2.5" SSD. This link shows that the 5090 was available with an M.2 and an HDD configuration.

And this from the ports available spec on the 5090 support page.
