Vostro 460 BIOS Update from A06 to A07
My ATI Radeon 6677 crashed and I had to buy a new video card. I read Geforce GT 730 (2gb DDR5) requirements and my desktop meets them all. However, when I installed the card, the computer freezes on Dell logo showing F2 and F12 option but not allowing me to choose.
Onboard video works fine, I get this issue when I install the new one. Also with my previous card (ATI Radeon) I can boot the machine but the output image is pixeled and colorless.
I try everything I found about this kind of problems in forums and I found here in Dell Community that someone get a motherboard replacement for his XPS 8300 and it comes with A07 bios. You can see it in below link:
https://www.dell.com/community/Windows-General/XPS-8300-BIOS-A06-or-A07/td-p/4012321
I think if anyone can send me A07 bios file maybe I can get a solution to this issue.
Thanks in advance.

A06 is the only BIOS listed on the downloads. A07 has never been released for the downloads. Someone may have got a new motherboard with the newer BIOS but its not available for download. That was 2012/2013 so it will most likely never be released.

Hi,
I really don't expect a release of A07 BIOS from Dell but maybe someone in the Community has A07 BIOS version for Vostro 460 or XPS 8300 and could help me sending me the BIOS file (*.rom).
Thanks.

Sorry, but BIOS A07 is not available on either the regular support page or on the ftp site for either the Vostro 460 or the XPS 8300, both of which use the same BIOS.
It was either never listed or removed for whatever reasons...

Even if BIOS A07 existed at one point, there must be a reason why it doesn't appear on the support site.
How do you know A07 is even going to solve your video card problem? Are you willing to risk bricking your motherboard with a questionable BIOS, especially one you get from some stranger over the internet...?
How do you know your new video card actually works? Have you tested it in some other PC that might be compatible with this card? Or, exchanged it for another card?
And OEM PCs are not always compatible with retail cards, even though the specs appear to match. You might want to contact the card's manufacturer for assistance...
