Vostro 430, Virtual Reality video card
My small company is getting an Oculus Rift headset for some tech training. We have a spare 430. It has i7, 16gb ram, SSD and easily meets all requirements for the VR software except video card. Is there a Vostro 430 compatible Video Card/GPU that can handle VR with the Oculus Rift? Needs display port, mini preferably. But I can get an adapter I’m told if mini is not native to the card. Windows 10 Pro is the OS. Thanks Edit: Dang, clicked Post before seeing “email replies” checkbox. Won’t let me change it now.

A 10-year old machine is a poor-choice for VR.
Specs sound OK at first glance, but then you remember:
- that SSD can only run at SATA-2/300 speed.
- Power-Supply is too small for a Nvidia GTX-1070 or better
- No USB-3.0
- The list goes on ...

USB3 is easily added and a GTX 1060 can be used in newer if not brand new system so its not a waste.
