Vostro 430 has started crashing in FLTMGR.SYS
My Vostro 430 has been running without problems using Windows 7 and for over a year with Windows 10, but has recently (about two weeks ago) started crashing close to every 24 hours with a Kernel Mode Trap and referencing Fltmgr.sys. The bugcheck codes are 7f/08.
Various comments suggest this may be hardware related, but all diagnostics I have run are clean, and when I run in Safe Mode the problem does not appear. I cannot identify any system updates that coincide with the start of the issue.
While there does not appear to be any trigger for a crash showing in the event log, I have found that running the Dell SupportAssist program causes the crash to occur immediately.
Does anyone have a similar experience? Any suggestions of where to look or what to try?
Thanks.
Geoffrey.

Have you used or use any driver "booster" or finder service? I see issues with fltmgr.sys cause by these. The suggested fix is to do a clean reinstall of Win 10 (or whatever OS you are using). Only use Dell supplied or what Windows automatically installed for drivers.
Dell only supports XP/Vista/Win 7 for this model. Using Win 10 may or may not result in problems or devices not working.
