Vostro 400, GPU upgrade
Help my recent 8800 gt gpu died and ive been looking around for a new one. i am completely new to gaming pcs etc so need abit of help. Ive found a ASUS GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 but not sure it will run on my pc. i have 4gb ddr2 240 pin ram. if any body could;d help me i would appreciated it a lot. thanks in advanced.

8800 is ancient. You could use up to GT1080 TI but that would be overkill.
GT1030 would be Recommended Replacement.
For a bit more money GTX 1050 TI would be even better.

Newer R series cards do not work in older dells but NVIDIA cards UP TO PASCAL work fine.
Recommended Replacement would be GT1030 GDDR5 card.
DDR4 versions of the card should be avoided because they are Junk.
