Vostro 3668 - Does it support "Away mode" in windows power management?
Hello,
I have a vostro 3668, and i would like to ask if the hardware and the bios of that system
support "Away mode" in windows power management?
It's a sleep states that allow to still be able to stream media to a client.
Thank you.

Away mode uses ACPI and Dates back to WINDOWS XP MCE from 2005.
It is not a bios feature nor is it a power management state its a hidden advanced setting. MCE however is REMOVED from windows 10.
Away Mode allows the system to appear and sound turned off while it remains on to respond to requests for remote media transmission and record television content. Away Mode enables the PC to deliver an experience that resembles that of a consumer electronics device, such as a set-top box.
Away Mode is designed specifically for:
• Windows Media Center Extenders. The Windows computer must be continually available to extender devices for s t r e a m i n g media and recorded television content.
• Windows Media Sharing. The Windows computer must be continually available to other Windows PCs and consumer electronics devices to enable remote audio playback, picture viewing, and so on.
• Living room PC (LRPC). A Windows computer as part of an entertainment system must remain available to remote devices for media sharing, but appear and behave as if it were turned off when the user is finished viewing media locally.
Away Mode allows the PC to remain operational to provide access and process background tasks, but appear turned off to the user with the display turned off and audio muted.
Away mode has not been designed for mobile computers. If Setup detects a Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method battery, the installation is canceled and the following error message is displayed: "The environment is incorrect."
Unfortunately Away mode is TIED to MCE
MCE is removed from Windows 10.
KB902437 is an XP MCE addon from 2005

Thanks.
That added the feature under power managment advanced settings. I enabled it.
Also, under Multimedia settings --> when sharing media , i chose "Allow the computer to enter Away Mode" .
I just need to understand how this work.
Windows is now also set to enter sleep mode after 45 minutes.
When "away mode" is enabled, it will go to a regular sleep or to "away mode" ?
Do i need to disable the regular sleep mode?
