Vostro 3650, problem installing graphic driver

hi

every time i try to install the HD graphcis driver i downloaded from the dell support site i get an "your machine does not meet minimum requirements" error.

log from my latest attempt:

[Wed Apr 10 20:03:08 2019] Vendor Software Return Code: 5
[Wed Apr 10 20:03:08 2019] logo.png
[Wed Apr 10 20:03:08 2019] Name of Exit Code: DEP_HARD_ERROR
[Wed Apr 10 20:03:08 2019] Exit Code set to: 4 (0x4)
[Wed Apr 10 20:03:08 2019] Result: FAILURE
[Wed Apr 10 20:03:13 2019] Open file: C:\ProgramData\Dell\UpdatePackage\Log\Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver_HMM00_WIN_23.20.16.4973_A00.txt

i have other log errors from earlier attempts with different messages, i'll post it if it's relevant to anyone.

this issue has been a problem from day 1 (about 3 years ago) when i was using win 7 and is still an issue after 2 total reformatting, an upgrade to win 10 and a full replacement of the motherboard and graphic card after i kept getting blue screens of death.

i've been working without the driver so far and even though im having bugs and glitches when using photoshop (at some point i even replaced my tablet thinking it was faulty but it didnt affect the issue) i've been able to work around it, but lately i've been working with larger files and i keep getting crashes and "not enough RAM" errors and i know from experience this hardware spec shouldn't be struggling so much with these files and am hoping that installing the graphic driver successfully would do the trick.

could someone help me?

thanks

I would start by installing latest chipset driver.

Sounds like a lemon.

I suggest you replace it with a new machine, and get on with your creative work. Life is short.

Some Vostros are re-badged XPS, but I think others are just Inspirons. If interested, we could help you select a more appropriate machine for this use-case / work-flow.
