Vostro 260, Windows 10 boot failure
I can boot to the bios but it just shows up as a blank screen I use windows 10 and bios A10
No Events found!

Are you actually able to boot into Windows? As far as the BIOS is concerned, have you tried to reset the BIOS? Pull out the CMOS (coin cell) battery and leave it out for at least 15 minutes (Intel advises 30). Then reinstall the battery and try again.

Disconnect data cable from hard drive and turn on.
It should show a hard drive error.
Black Screen of Death is very common.
Usually means corrupted and or physically bad drive that needs to be replaced.

You can clean install windows 10 and tell it that you do not have a key and it will re install and re activate just fine.

2. when I do this should I disconnect the powercable?

I can literally do anything who requires hard drive I just can not see the bios
