Vostro 200 Not Booting to BIOS
Hi,
I have a Vostro 200 Slim which was passed on to me from my neighbor.
I have added another 500GB hard drive on top of the 500GB already pre-installed, I have erased both disks using DBAN 2.3.0 to make space for FreeNAS 11.3.
However, when FreeNAS was installing (from a CD onto USB Drive) it was almost completing the installation and then exiting the installer (Another Problem)
The main problem is that after retrying the installation a few times the computer would not boot past the initial BIOS screen (this problem has been rectified in the past by removing the CMOS Battery), however, once it has restarted all the fans will spin the front LED will become a solid blue, but will not beep and will not proceed to the BIOS.
The motherboard has power as the amber light on the board lights up and the green light on the PSU will turn on.
How can I fix this??

Is the pc stuck on Dell logo screen or after the logo screen disappears?
I am relatively familiar w the V200S model. I had two of these.
if stuck on Dell logo, POST is stalling. I suggest you disconnect both hdds, remove CMOs battery, wait 1-5 min, replace w new battery if possible. If no new battery available use the old one for now and see if POST can complete (Dell logo comes on screen then disappears). If you get a no boot device error it is normal then.
If you are able to proceed to the above step, then try to boot it w a bootable USB key. You can customize boot device priority list in bios to let it boot from usb first. If successful, then connect only one hdd and clean install os. Note that if hdd is faulty, os install will stall or fail.
