Re-Modelling Vostro 3668 as a learning tool
I want to try learning PC building and thought this would be a starting point.
I found a seller with Dell Vostro 3668 and after I looked over the Dell's website, owner's manual:
I thought, can I upgrade the components?
Here is the base specification of the seller product's:
PC Dell Vostro 3668 Core i3 7100, Memory DDR4 4GB, Hardisk (HDD) 500GB Power Supply 240w
I want to upgrade them into:
- Intel 7th Generation Core i7-7700
- RAM Crucial 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 UDIMM CT2K8G4DFS8266
- VGA Low Profile / Mini ITX GTX 1050 Zotac 2GB 128Bit GDDR5 (OR) Asus GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5 128bit
- Hybrid storage
- V-GEN PLATINUM 128GB SATA 3 (OR) SSD 128GB RX7 SATA 3 with an installed HDD 500 GB from seller
- Should I change the power supply? The seller set up a 240w power supply.
I wonder if it will work. Any recommendation?
Thanks

The plan is workable and depending on where you are, the total cost will be a lot higher than the system actual value. Do you have access to USA market? And how much will be the final total cost for your build?
Personally, I don't think it's a good plan and not a good build.
